Name Blocks

We recently had a reception to go to... and I needed a quick wedding gift...so this is what I came up with:
I used a 2x6 for the big "S" and a 2x4 for the "miths". For the "Est. 2009" I had my husband rip a 2x4 on our table saw to the size that i needed...so that the "miths" block and the "Est. 2009" block were the same height as the big "S". Before I cut the blocks...I cut the vinyl letters with my Cricut to the size that I wanted... and then measured the block length from that. I just painted the blocks, sanded and stained the edges... then stuck the vinyl on and wrapped a scrap piece of tulle around and tied in a bow.
Very Simple...but Very Cute! Have FuN!

FuN Water Bottle Holder!

I found this idea here...and I thought these would be perfect for when my kids are riding their bikes ...or for when we go camping and hiking this summer! I just bought my ribbon at Walmart...and the rubber O-Rings I bought at Home Depot. They came in a pack of 10. I couldn't find the same size that they suggested here...so I ended up getting 1 1/16" x 7/8" x 3/32" and that worked too. I used a little Fray Check on the ends of the ribbon...folded the ribbon a couple of times...stitched...and I was done! Soooo EaSy!! For complete instructions on how they made theirs ... click HERE! Personalized Beach Towel

My kiddos think these are pretty CoOL! I think they will get used a-lot this summer. They even love to lay them all out... in the house... and sit on them when they are watching TV.

These were fun to make! The towels I bought at Walmart (last year) for only $3. For these...I just traced some card stock letters (that I printed from my computer and cut out with an exact-o knife) onto some scrap fabric ...cut them out...and used fabric glue and StUcK them on the towel . Then I zig-zag stitched around the edge of each letter. If you don't like the frayed edge on the letters after you wash the towel...you could try using "Fray Check". I like the frayed look. Although... I did still have to trim some of the threads a bit after the first washing.

If you feel really CrEaTiVe...you could add flowers, or a dinosaur, or whatever your child would like!

I need to make some more of these... for when they take their baths so they don't use a new towel every time...which means" LeSS LaUnDrY "for me!! Yea!!

These would also make really cute Birthday or Christmas Gifts!! Have FuN!!

Today when I was browsing blogs...I came across this:

Y*U*M*M*Y!!!

I am a HUGE cookie dough fan..so when I saw this I was in LoVe! :)

I found this on Big Red Kitchen !! You only need 3 ingredients to make this:

  • Chips Ahoy Cookies (original)
  • Cool Whip
  • milk

(optional) chocolate syrup

The instructions look very simple...so I think I can handle this one! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!
